London Weekend Break

Shops and stores in London

It is impossible to provide a complete list of the thousands of shops and stores in London and doing so would serve little purpose. What should help you is an indication of which districts in London specialise in certain types of retailer or products. So to keep things simple the list is ordered by district or area.

Oxford Street and Knightsbridge

It is within these two areas that you will find nearly all of the big department stores ranging from Debenhams to Harrods and M & S to Harvey Nichols.

Hatton Garden and New Bond Street

These are the two areas for Jewellery at both budget and top of the range prices and the range and variation of what you can find is unbeatable anywhere else in the UK.

Sloane Street and both Bond Streets (New and Old)

If it is the top fashions and designer wear that you are after, then these are the best localities in which to shop. But beware, prices can have no limits.

Covent Garden and Carnaby Street

The small districts around these streets are a hub for many of London's boutiques and fashion shops. These tend not to be the big designer names, but that should not put you off. There are also a number of book shops in the Covent Garden vicinity.

Piccadilly

The Piccadilly area is the home of British tailoring and the place to go for an off-the-peg, or more usually hand cut, suit. Savile Row is the most famous of the streets in this locality.

Soho

Soho has a reputation that need no elaboration, but during the day it is a popular area and you can find music
