London Weekend Break
221b Baker Street and the Sherlock Holmes museum
Located on Baker Street and close to Madame Tussaurds and the Auditorium (London Planetarium), 221b Baker Street is famed as the residence of super sleuth "Sherlock Holmes".
In the fictional novels, Holmes was said to have occupied "221b Baker Street" from 1881 to 1904 whilst solving numerous crimes with his colleague Dr. Watson.
The address of 221b Baker Street is now a permanent museum to this literary creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and you can find out about and explore the Sherlock Holmes story during a visit and tour.
The interior of the building replicates Conan Doyle's detailed descriptions of Holmes residence and it has a gift shop selling themed keepsakes.

Also in the area of Baker Street is a full sized statue of the famous detective and there is a pub that honours his name, though this sanctuary to drink is near the river Thames and not Baker Street.
The nearest tube station is of course called "Baker Street".
On a different note, musically at least, folk rock singer Gerry Rafferty had a world wide hit single with a song entitled Baker Street.
